the future is past (yes, I did that on purpose)

I suck at doing stuff, but I suck twice as much at doing things in advance.

This week, I tried eleventy times to book my travel arrangements for BlogHer13 (yes, I'm going - are you???) but it seems to take more metal coordination than I possess, which is scary since summer break just started and I need to stay on my toes so all these kids don't get the drop on me and end up tying me to a merry-go-round with the garden hose while I nap and/or check Facebook on my phone.

However, I just got a new source of motivation with the announcement of the I Just Want To Pee Alone book signing/booze guzzling (optional) event! If you're going to be in Chicago on July 26, get your ticket now; a ticket buys you a book and a drink, and also a close-up view of 14 IJWTPA authors who'll be signing (with pens!) and reading (out loud!) and probably drinking (profusely!) - I hope to see you there. Take pictures, because I won't remember it the next day.

But enough about the future - let's reminisce about the past!

In the dollhouse, Grandpa had a "little problem" - with his nether regions. Luckily, he kept the plastic smile plastered on his face, and with your support and his "Can Do (oh wait, no I can't) Attitude," the episode made its debut on Funny or Die! He's really having a hard time (wink, wink) keeping a stiff (nudge nudge) upper lip about it, so please pop over there to vote "funny" so he doesn't die... of embarrassment.

I revealed just exactly how poor we are (hint: we don't have a lake), which led to the Big Reveal on P&G Everyday of my 7 free ways to have fun this summer. Believe me, I know how to have me some free fun.

I was also over at CraftFail writing about some truly hilariously terrible food: creepy Minecraft Creeper cakes, a train made out of meatloaf (yes, you read that right), and Coke Salad, which sounds like it'd be a failure even if you got it right.

The Finding the Funny linkup is still open, as is the giveaway of a new, professionally designed Facebook header - go enter, and even if you don't win at least you'll have a ton of funny posts to read!

And finally, I just know you'd hate to miss a moment of this nonsense, so if you haven't already, visit my subscription page so you don't miss a thing! You can follow on BlogLovin' too, which is what all the cool kids seem to be up to these days. As always, I'll love you forever.

I can stand in as photog for 7/26. You can't possibly move around more than a toddler, right?

Trust me, I barely move at all - you're hired! The pay is terrible, but then again, so are the benefits.
