Around the Web

Feel like we've met somewhere before? Maybe you've seen my work around the web...

I show up some places on the regular.

HuffPost blogger Read me In the Powder Room!

Pssst... I don't mean to brag (Oh, yes I do!), but I'm Editor and crafty humor writer at CraftFail, I love writing funny lists and infographics for NickMom as well as serving as a NickMom Ambassador, representing their brand and funny voice around the web, I'm a columnist for A&E's edgy lifestyle site LifetimeMoms, I'm a humor writer at mom.me, I'm a featured writer at In The Powder Room, I'm a monthly contributor on Mommy Shorts, I'm published on Home Made Simple and P&G Everyday through Movable Media, I'm a contributor at Felicity Huffman's What the Flicka and I'm also a Huffington Post blogger.

I'm a published author!
I Just Want To Pee Alone is a hilarious anthology of stories from 37 mom bloggers about motherhood. It's a #1 best seller on Amazon and iTunes!

You Have Lipstick On Your Teeth
"You Have Lipstick on Your Teeth" is a fantastic, honest, laugh-out-loud collection of 39 original essays about being a woman - the good, the bad, and the stuff you only tell your bestie. It's a #1 Hot New Release on Amazon!

I Just Want To Be Alone (available for pre-order until its release March 22, 2014), the sequel to the best-selling I Just Want To Pee Alone, is an uproarious anthology of stories by women, dishing about the men we love - and love to laugh about.

I was excited to be on the faculty of the Blog University writers' conference in June 2014, where I taught sessions on graphic design!

 BlogU 2015
I'll also be teaching sessions on Getting Paid To Write Beyond Your Blog and co-hosting an Editing Workshop at Blog University 2015!

I was honored to be a cast member of Listen To Your Mother, Indianapolis (May 2013).
I'm thrilled to be on the cast of Listen To Your Mother, NW Indiana in May 2014, too! (ValpoLife did a great job covering the event, and even interviewed my husband. So he's, like, pretty famous.)

I was named a Must-Follow Humor Blog by BlogHer in 2013.

I was a panelist on a Google+ Hangout about raising kids in the age of digital media with mom.me editors and Dr. Larry Rosen in January 2015.

I had some posts that were featured on BlogHer:

I've also been featured by:

Today.com (in an interview about the Kim Kardashian #breaktheinternet parody photo I created, posted here, November 2014)
Mommy Shorts (in a parody of the Kim Kardashian profile by Paper Magazine, rewritten to be about me, including more of my #breaktheinternet spoof photos - November 2014)

  1. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

  2. I just wanted to let you know that viewing your blog on mobile/smartphone is incredibly frustrating.

Apologies for leaving a comment, but I couldn't find a contact form or email to let you know privately.

My most common gripe is that the page will randomly scroll back to the top of the screen. mI'm not sure what java script magic was doing this, but it got very annoying very quickly.

Scrolling down the page was also plagued with lags and jerks. I suspect the same cause as above.

When clicking links, I usually open in a new tab, so the original page stays open. When I do that on you site, the original page follows the link too. This is highly frustrating as I often closed the wrong window by mistake!

Lastly, keep an eye in the size of ads in mobile view. Viewers should be able to see them, but not inadvertently click on them as they scroll. This, of course, may have been caused by issues 1 & 2, with the page jumping around.

Thank you for commenting - you're awesome! I mean, even if you're a jerk, at least it means you read my blog. RIGHT?!?
