how Boudreaux's Butt Paste saved my butt

I was giddy as a school girl when I found out I was going to meet Dr. Boudreaux at BlogHer'13, because ever since using it with my first daughter, I've been a huge fan.

Hollow Tree Ventures goes fangirl on Dr. Boudreaux
That's us! My brush with fame! The red fellow lurking behind us is Rashadon - you'll see how he can win you prizes in a minute.

Thanks to my dedication to Butt Paste (and of course, my flawless mothering - har har), my kids have never really had diaper rash. As soon as I see a little red spot I smooth some Boudreaux's on it and like magic, the spot's gone by the next diaper change! (Hopefully I haven't jinxed myself now by bragging about my babies' butts.

So anyway, I was stoked to meet Dr. Boudreaux, and you know what? It was even better than I'd hoped. He told me all about his family, and how he started mixing up batches of his diaper cream formula in his drug store in 1978. He told me about a promise he made to his son that kept him going in tough times. Then he went on to talk about how diaper rash really affects us - beyond the baby's discomfort, which is also critical, but also the stress, the sleep loss, and emotional anguish we can go through when our wee ones are suffering. I just kept thinking, "Wow, this guy gets moms. And he really gets diaper rash, too." Wait, that didn't sound right - I'm assuming he doesn't get diaper rash, but he does understand it. You know what I mean.

When we got our photo taken, Dr. Boudreaux told me about this fun campaign they're doing where Rashadon is defeated by a winged tube of Boudreaux's - not only will this video make you snort-laugh, but you can use it to win prizes, too!

  1. My 10 year old son laughs whenever he sees "butt paste". He's going through a potty humor phase, which may never end because my husband cracks up over it, too.

  12. We are a Boudreaux’s family as well! My youngest son adores acidic fruit and as such he was developing dreadful rashes until we discovered this wonder product. My son has also tried to cover his whole body in the paste before and I am pleased to report it left him with fantastically soft skin.
