Yes! How am I falling asleep reading naptime stories and then talking my husband's ear off at 11pm?!

  5. The worst thing about my insomnia is the way it tricks me into thinking that I CAN fall asleep...if I just try hard enough. I could have gotten so much sh*t done if I had taken your approach!

  6. If I start thinking about something I could get done, it's all over. I know I'll never fall asleep while my brain is coming up with ideas that I'll likely forget if I drift off. ;)

  7. yep. can so relate. And can I just say I love Netflix. pick a movie at any hour of the day.....er night. brilliant. Not sure what it says that I keep gravitating towards the Walking Dead and other zombie films. Like knows like, right?

  9. So I took Melatonin for a while. Then life got really stressful and anxiety-ridden (like relatives with terminal illness and such), and the Melatonin resulted in some freaky-scary-horrible nightmares. Like I murdered other people, and it was super-realistic.

After that, I swore off Melatonin. I am now a devotee of Benadryl. My doc say no harm in taking it long-term. And I'm that desperate to re-establish a decent sleeping schedule after a year of hell.

So far, Benadryl is my bestest friend. I just have to remember to take it EARLY enough.

  10. I didn't even know you could take melatonin - but that response to the stress sounds horrible!!! I'm glad you've found something that works - sleep well and for goodness sake SWEET DREAMS!

  11. Poor lass...clearly, you're not drinking the RDA of wine before bedtime.

This, sadly, made me laugh so hard because it's so, so true!!

  13. I believe that laughter is caused by sleep deprivation-induced hysteria. ;)

  14. Just tell me the next time. I'm sure I can come up with a story boring enough to put you to sleep.

  15. Oh honey, you always know just what to say.

  16. Love it......and I am SUCH an insomniac. You'd really think I'd get more done.

  17. I hear that! Too bad I can't feel more productive at 3am on zero sleep. :)
