Funny stuff and blank stares

Do you have any idea how long I've been staring blankly at this blank screen with a blank expression on my face? I don't either, but it's been a while. Sorry, I'm a little worn out from all the funny that's been happening this week! Plus, the baby woke up about two hours prior to the crack of dawn, so that could also be somehow related to the blankness of the staring. Anyway, wasn't somebody supposed to write this wrap-up? Hmm, I guess I'd better do it, since I'm the only one here.

In the past week (give or take)...

I had my first post picked up by Mamalode, where I get a little silly but also uncharacteristically sentimental and vulnerable so go read it but try not to throw up in your mouth too much.

Over at CraftFail, I had WAY too much fun writing up Toulouse and Tonic for her ridiculously pathetic Paleo Biscuits, Mommy Needs A Martini and her Fairy Jar Fake-Out, and a messed up crunch wrap that inspired me to try the original recipe even though the fail looked wicked gross - and believe it or not, it's now one of the fam's favorite dinners! I also learned what a Dalek is, but I still don't know why you'd make it into a cake.

I listed all the things I know how to do because I'm a mom.

I also made some graphics showing what kids love, by age group - like this one for babies.

Thank you to In The Powder Room for featuring me on Fangirl Friday, where they said all kinds of nice stuff about me and this post - one of my favorites - in which I talk about what marvelous fun Family Game Night is (sarcasm font).

Kim of Let Me Start By Saying was interviewed by her adoring Facebook fans.

The Sisterhood of the Sensible Moms shared the uuuuuugliest sweaters ever posted on Pinterest.

In an archived gem, Carisa of M.Carisa shows us how moms are like flight attendants.

Since Facebook probably didn't show you my link when I shared it there (*shakes fist angrily at Facebook*), be sure to check out the celebrity auditions for the reading of the audiobook version of I Just Want To Pee Alone by The Divine Secrets of A Domestic Diva. You'll never guess who read for my essay...

Speaking of that I Just Want To Pee Alone book, in which you may have heard I'm published for the very first time, I'm proud to say we're still the NUMBER ONE Amazon best seller in Parenting & Families Humor, Humor Essays, and we made it to the NUMBER ONE iTunes humor book spot! It even got featured on Babble (and a ton of other awesome places, but by now you're sick of me linking to stuff - I can respect that).

Thank you to everyone who's buying the book, reading, laughing, writing reviews and helping make the dreams of 37 over-sharing lady bloggers come true! If you still wanna snag a copy, then click those words you just read, which contain the very last link in this post. Pinkie swear.

This banner goes someplace when you click it, but I'm not counting it as a link. Ummm, because - that's why.

  2. I loved your graphics! They were perfect. I also really enjoyed the teen one.
And I can't believe I missed the fairy jar Craft Fail. I thought that was a jar full of questionable, but those results? Delightfully gruesome.

    Thanks for the shout out!
